Reiki SymbolsThe Japanese word “Reiki” means “spiritually guided life energy.” The practice of Reiki is used to harmonize the mind, body, and soul, or – more specifically – relieve pain, clear toxins, promote creativity, and reduce stress. The practice of Reiki is carried out by using Reiki Symbols: Japanese forms derived from Sanskrit, which is supposedly where all other language originated. When used properly, Reiki symbols can heal and enhance the flow of Life Force Energy. Using Reiki Symbols correctly could unlock entire other levels of awareness and manifestation. The symbols can be activated by drawing them with your palm center, finger, or “third eye,” spelling the symbol’s name three times, or visualizing them. It is a privilege to have these symbols available at the click of a mouse because many Reiki Masters follow the tradition of protecting the holiness of the Reiki Symbols by keeping them secret.

Cho Ku Rei Reiki SymbolCho Ku Rei (“choh-koo-ray”) is the “The Power Symbol”, which means “God and Man Coming Together” or “I have the key.” If you’re looking to increase Reiki power, this symbol is a good place to start. Cho Ku Rei allows you to absorb the energy in the environment around you and focus that energy wherever you see fit. To practice, make the sign over yourself or the person you’re working with, and say the words “Cho Ku Rei” three times silently. This symbol serves Reiki like all-purpose cleaners serve households; it can be used for anything, anywhere. Some of the many applications of the Cho Ku Rei symbol include eliminating negative energies; providing spiritual protection; cleansing water, food, medicine, and herbs; empowering other Reiki Symbols, and sealing energies after a treatment is performed.

Dai Ko Myo Reiki SymbolDai Ko Myo (“dye-ko-me-o”) serves as “The Master Symbol.” As the name suggests, it is the most powerful symbol in the Reiki group and can only be used by Reiki Masters. The primary use of this symbol is to heal the soul. The symbol doesn’t apply a band-aid, but goes to the original source in the aura/energy fields to heal disease. A mastering of The Master Symbol will provide enlightenment and peace and will also bring one intuition and keen perception. Practicing this symbol (which takes much time and effort) will bring about profound life changes.

Hon Sha Ze Sho NenHon Sha Ze Sho Nen (“hanh-shah-zay-show-nen”) has become known as “The Distance Symbol.” This symbol is divine in that it means “The God in Me Greets the God in You to Promote Enlightenment and Peace.” No need to buy an airline ticket, The Distance Symbol can send Reiki over any distance and time to anyone and anything, meaning you can send Reiki energy to your cousin’s cat in Vermont or to your deceased great-great grandfather. The symbol is drawn when sending a distant attunement.

Ta Ma Ra ShaTam-A-Ra-Sha (“Tam-a-ra-sha”) is known as “The Balancing Factor,” or the balancing/unblocking symbol. Oftentimes we feel we’re about to topple physically and/or mentally. This symbol will help you ground and balance energy, helping you feel stable. When the energy chakra centers are blocked, this symbol allows energy to flow. This symbol also lessens the effects of pain, helping to reduce or dissipate it.

Sei He KiSei Hei Ki (“say-hay-key”) is “The Mental/Emotional Symbol,” meaning “God and Man Coming Together”. If your psyche is in need of rejuvenation, use this symbol to calm the mind and for mental/emotional healing. The symbol can be used to balance the right and left brain, remove addictions, heal past traumas, provide psychic protection, remove negative energies and bad vibrations, and more. Use Sei He Ki to restore the balance and harmony lacking in many peoples’ lifestyles.
