Difference Between Hybrids and Electric Cars

Some hybrids are hybrid-electrics but not all electrics are hybrids.

For instance, many of the first hybrids to hit the market used gasoline to charge up the batteries while driving or applying the brakes. Many of the newer hybrids have gasoline engines, but can also run on batteries that were charged from an outlet in your garage.
